Barnet Preview

12 March 2013

Full Preview as United welcome Barnet.

We look ahead to tonight's big home match against Barnet.

Team News
United look to continue where they left off when they welcome Barnet to the Kassam Stadium after Saturday's magnificent 3-1 win away to Torquay United which continued the U's terrific form away from home.

They will be without left back Tony Capaldi who is ruled out with a back injury picked up during the win in Devon, but welcome back Liam Davis after illness. Lewis Montrose is  unavailable due to a hamstring problem, joining long-term absentees Peter Leven, Justin Richards and Ryan Clarke in the treatment room but Montrose and JP PIttman could be in contention again when United welcome Chesterfield to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday

Midfielder Scott Davies impressed in midfield against Torquay and should make a first home start as United take on the Bees.

See Chris Wilder and Andy Whing previewing the game in Yellow Player along with a brilliant full preview show.

The Opposition
Barnet boss Edgar Davids, one of the most recognisable people in the whole of football, has a large group of players close to returning from injury.

Strikers Jake Hyde, Craig Beattie (both hamstring), Jon Nurse (concussion) and Ishmail Kamara (shoulder) are all in contention after spells on the sidelines.

However, player-manager  Davids is unlikely to change his starting line-up after a thumping 4-1 win over Morecambe at the weekend.

Dani Lopez grabbed a hat-trick while youngster Luke Gambin scored on his full debut so they are set to keep their places in attack.

Midfielder John Oster is progressing well after a hamstring injury but will not be ready, while forwards Ricky Holmes (foot) and Steve Kabba (knee) are long-term absentees along with back-up goalkeeper Liam O'Brien (groin).
