United back sponsored walk in aid of Sobell House
Oxford United are proud to support the Oxford Moonlight Stroll in aid of Sobell House Hospice charity.
The walk, which begins at 10:30pm on Saturday 13th July, is a 9-mile sponsored stroll through the streets of Oxford taking in the city’s landmarks and starting at St Edward’s School on the Woodstock Road.
The theme for this year’s walk is sci-fi and more than 1,000 people are expected to take part – many of them in fancy dress!
Last year’s event raised more than £70,000 for Sobell House, our charity shirt sponsors last season, and this year they’re hoping to raise even more.
The Hospice has been offering care and support to people in Oxfordshire suffering with life-limiting illnesses since 1976. It costs £4million a year to run, most of which is donated by generous individuals and businesses in the local area.
