Bad news and good news for United as they prepare for their last home game of the season
United are set to be without skipper Jake Wright as they take on Rochdale this Saturday.
The defender has a back problem and is very doubtful for the last home game of the season, with Michael Duberry and Michael Raynes likely to pair up in defence.
"Jake has been outstanding all season and it will be a blow if he misses out," Chris Wilder told Yellow Player. "It looks as though he will not be available but whoever plays we will be looking to end the season well. You have to have pride in your performance as a player and as a team and there is no way we will be easing up before the season ends."
There was better news up front where James Constable and JP Pittman could both be available again. Constable injured an ankle with Pittman aggravating a hamstring problem in the game against Wycombe. There's good news too for Tony Capaldi, who is fit again to join the squad, while Callum O'Dowda and Sam Long are both likely to continue on the bench as the young players are given their opportunity to experience life with the first team squad.
