Liver Cancer Charity Set to Benefit

A charity match in aid of a liver cancer charity is being held at Chipping Norton FC this Sunday 12th August, kick-off 3pm.

Entry is just £5 for adults and £2 and all proceeds will go to charity. Included in the game are a host of former United players, with the following all confirmed: Alan Judge, Les Phillips, Les Robinson, Chris Allen, Joey Beauchamp, Peter Rhoades-Brown and Andy Gunn.

There will also be a raffle, with prizes including tickets for a home game next season. Food and bar facilities are also available in a friendly atmosphere.

The game is in memory of Shaun Weller from Chipping Norton, who died aged 22 from liver cancer. He was a very keen footballer and a huge Oxford United fan.

United players will include Alan Judge, Andy Gunn, Mike Ford, Anton Rogan, Chris Wilder, Les Philips, Joey Beauchamp, Chrissy Allen, Ben Abbey (debut), Simon Weatherstone (debut), and Peter Rhoades-Brown
