U's ready for Capital one Cup Kick-Off

United return to competitive action tonight as they welcome AFC Bournemouth  to the Kassam Stadium in the first round of the newly named Capital One Cup (7.45pm)
The U's have impressed in pre-season with the goals shared around between the seven strikers and the biggest decision facing Chris Wilder would appear to be who starts up front. James Constable, Alfie Potter, Tom Craddock, Deane Smalley, Sean Rigg and JP Pittman look to be competing for three places with Smalley and Pittman both coming back after missing the final warm up game as a precaution after injury. Tyrone Marsh is also expected to be on the bench.
Simon Heslop should overcome a back problem  and looks to be challenging Adam Chapman for a place in midfield alongside new faces Lee Cox and Jake Forster-Caskey.
The only question in defence is whether Sean McGinty or Tony Capaldi get the nod at left-back where Capaldi looks to have the advantage after pre-season.

The Opposition
Bournemouth finished last season in 11th place in League One and have some serious goal threats in former Rotherham front man Lewis Grabban, Wes Thomas and former Crawley striker Matt Tubbs.
Manager Paul Groves is without long-term absentees Wes Fogden, Stephen Purches, and Charlie Sheringham who have been joined by veteran Steve Fletcher (dead leg) and Mark Molesley (groin)
Defender Adam Bartlett (hamstring) and Tommy Elphick (Achilles) will try to prove their fitness but former Torquay man Eunan O'Kane will also not feature as he is on international duty with Republic of Ireland's under-21s.

The Referee
The referee for tonight's game is Robert Madley from West Yorkshire
