Taomë Oliver Extends Her Contract

U’s full-back signs for another season

4 March 2024

Oxford United Women are delighted to announce that Taomë Oliver has extended her contract with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

The versatile player, who can play in midfield and at right back, has committed to the project that Sam Rose is building at Court Place Farm.

Oliver recently made her 50th appearance for the club, and told OUFC.co.uk

“I’ve had a really good spell with Oxford and have been here quite a while now, and we're also in a position now where we're building and I'm excited to see what the team can do next year.

“I've just found a bit of a second home here. I really enjoy Oxford and in terms of the culture and the community and the girls, they play such a massive part in me enjoying my time here.

“Oxford want to push on and really keep developing and I really want to be part of that journey. Sam Rose has been a big step in the right direction and he's also come and shown that he really wants to implement a certain structure and a style and put his own mark on it.

“I think we're kind of at the start of the cycle and I think we could really push on as a team and I think we've got a lot of character in the team and we can fight towards the top of the league and definitely make a mark and then next year try to push on further.”

Manager Sam Rose said

“Taomë extending her contract with the club ahead of next season is another positive step forward for the team and for the squad.

“Taomë has been with the club for a number of years and has been an ever present. She fits the profile of player I want for the fullback role, whilst also having that flexibility and experience of playing across a number of positions. She will be an integral member of the team moving forward.

“I’ve said previously that consolidating the playing group has been an ongoing priority for us as we look to blend recruitment over the summer with being proactive to retain those players that we see playing their part in our future.”

Watch Taomë and the rest of the squad as they travel to Hashtag United this Sunday 10th in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
