Emma joins us from the WSL2 side, Southampton FC. Having signed at Chelsea FC Academy in 2016, she was a prolific goalscorer for the academy side, scoring 17 goals in 15 games in all competitions during the 2021/22 season, subsequently being awarded her senior debut. Emma then went on to make a number of appearances for Chelsea's senior side.

Signing a senior contract with the Blues at the start of the 2022/23 season, Thompson joined Lewes on loan to gain first-team experience before making a move to Southampton.

The forward has also represented the Young Lionesses, making appearances for the Under-15, Under-16, Under-18, and Under-19 squads.
