The 27-year-old joined in the summer of 2024 having spent the previous four years in English football, signing for Norwich City in 2020 and most recently spending the end of the 2023/24 season at Swansea City.

Starting his career in Poland, he also had spells in Germany with RB Leipzig and Sonnenhof Großaspach before returning to his homeland to play for Pogon Siedlce, Podbeskidzie and Slask Wroclaw.

Płacheta has earned seven caps for the Polish national team, including appearances at Euro 2020, and made a strong impression during his first season at the Kassam Stadium, featuring 33 times across all competitions.
