It’s the Adobe WFA Cup third round this Sunday, and Oxford United Women welcome Plymouth Argyle to the MGroup Stadium for the second time this season with kick off at 1:00pm.
When Plymouth visited in the National League Southern Premier Division just under a month ago, it was the team from south Devon that ran out 1-0 winners, just a week after beating the U’s 3-2 at Home Park in the National League Cup, so Oxford will have plenty of motivation to turn the tables on Argyle.
Since Liam Gilbert took over the side, United have won all three games, including the 3-1 victory over Luton Town that saw them progress to this round of the competition. Plymouth made the third round thanks to a 2-1 win over Gwalia United. In that match, former Oxford striker Phoebie Poole received a red card, meaning that she will be suspended for this weekend.
United’s games against Plymouth are always close, entertaining affairs, and Sunday’s tie promises to be no different. Make sure you’re there for Oxford’s last game of 2025, when there will be plenty of festive fun in addition to the football. There’s always a great welcome at the MGroup Stadium, with a well-stocked bar in the clubhouse and the Burnout BBQ keeping everyone fed.
There will be plenty of festive activities to get involved in so we’d love to see your Christmas outfits on display!
Normal league prices apply: £8 for adults; £4 for over-65s, Blue Badge holders, and Oxford United Men’s season-ticket holders; £3 for under-18s; and £2 for under-12s. Under-7s have free admission. Please note that as this is a cup game, it is not covered by Women’s season-tickets.
There is a special offer for schools and grassroots teams for this game where you can apply for tickets at just £2pp plus be in with a chance for your team or class to walk out with the team. See further details HERE but be quick as winners will be chosen Friday PM.
Turnstiles open at 11:30am and a good crowd is expected, so come along and cheer the women to victory.
