Oxford United are proud to announce that United Run Dept., the Club’s official running club, has been shortlisted in three categories at the upcoming Football Business Awards.
United Run Dept. has been nominated for the following awards:
- Best Fan Engagement by a Club – Premier League & Championship
- Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme
- Best Sponsorship or Partnership of the Year – Premier League & Championship
Launched at the start of 2025, United Run Dept. has quickly grown into a popular initiative that brings together supporters, Club staff, and the wider Oxford community through a shared passion for running, health, and wellbeing.
Open to runners of all abilities, the group welcomes anyone looking to chase a new personal best or simply enjoy a relaxed run with fellow supporters. Monthly events have proven particularly popular, combining fitness, fun, and a strong sense of community.
Each run offers more than just exercise. Participants have the opportunity to meet fellow fans, connect with Club staff from departments including Sports Science, Medical, Commercial, Marketing, and both first teams, and pick up practical advice on improving their health and fitness.
Judged by a panel of senior executives from across British football, the Football Business Awards recognise the outstanding work clubs deliver away from the pitch to strengthen fan engagement and create positive social impact. United Run Dept.’s three nominations highlight Oxford United’s growing influence beyond the game.
