United Run Dept. (URD), Oxford United’s Official running club, is celebrating its first birthday this month, marking a successful year of bringing supporters and the wider community together through running, connection, and wellbeing.
Launched at the start of 2025, United Run Dept. has spent the past 12 months travelling across Oxfordshire, creating inclusive running opportunities for everyone. From city streets to countryside trails, URD has helped participants improve their running, build new friendships and prioritise both physical and mental wellbeing.
To celebrate the milestone, United Run Dept. will host a special one-year birthday run on Sunday 25 January at Missing Bean’s Roastery Café on Magdalen Road, Oxford. The event invites runners to bring a friend along, to make it URD’s biggest and best run to date.
The birthday run is open to anyone aged 18+ who is comfortable running 5K. Runners will meet at 9:00am, with the run starting at 9:30am from Missing Bean’s Cafe.
