United Host Real Bedford on International Women's Day

This season’s International Women’s Day and HerGameToo fixture sees Oxford United Women entertain Real Bedford at the MGroup Stadium on Sunday (2:00pm kick off).

The U’s have won six of their last seven National Southern Premier League fixtures, including a 2-1 comeback win at Exeter City last weekend. This has seen the side climb to fourth in the table, albeit nine points adrift of first-placed Watford, who inflicted the only league defeat on United since Liam Gilbert’s return as Manager.

Bedford are two places and three points below the Yellows, having played a game fewer, but they will be reeling from Sunday’s 4-1 home defeat at the hands of AFC Bournemouth.

Oxford will be looking to avenge their own 4-1 defeat in the reverse fixture at the Eyrie, so this promises to be an exciting game with a lot riding on it for both sides.

There is always a friendly welcome at the MGroup Stadium, where there is a well-stocked bar and the excellent Burnout BBQ offering top-quality food. Tickets cost £8 for adults; £4 for over-65s, Blue Light Card holders, and men’s season-ticket holders; £3 for under-18s; and £2 for under-13s. Under-7s have free admission. Tickets are available either at the turnstiles (open from 12.30pm) or online in advance HERE.

Come along and support the women as they look to close the gap on the top three and take part in some special events to mark International Women’s Day.
