Oxford United Under-21s get their Cup run underway against Watford this Tuesday.
United have been placed in a group alongside tomorrow’s opponents, MK Dons and Wycombe Wanderers.
After a positive start to their season, beating Swindon Town 3-2 in the Next Wave Championship, Oxford will be looking to build on that momentum tomorrow.
Despite an unbeaten group stage last season, the Under-21s were still knocked out by Wycombe Wanderers on goal difference. Victories against both Notts County and MK Dons, before a 0-0 draw to Wycombe Wanderers was not enough for the side to progress to the next round.
They will be hoping for better luck this season, but a trip to Watford could prove to be a real test for a young squad tomorrow.
Kickoff is at 2:00 pm on Tuesday 1 September at the Watford FC Training Ground.
