Oxford United Under-18s will look to continue their winning start to league football when they host last season’s Youth Alliance National Champions, AFC Wimbledon.
The Young U’s got their season underway last weekend by picking up three points at Leyton Orient. The win continues their momentum from a positive pre-season, meaning confidence will be high heading into this weekend.
The two sides met three times last season - all in different competitions. Wimbledon got the better of United on two occasions, knocking the Young U’s out of the Youth Alliance Cup and the Youth Alliance Championship before going on to lift the trophy in both of those competitions.
Saturday is not just the first home match of the season for the Under-18s but will be a fixture where they look to get one back over last season’s champions.
Kick off is 11:00am at the Training Centre on Saturday 15 August.
