Under-18s Face Swindon at Home

Riley Dourish

Oxford United Under-18s take on Swindon Town for the second time in three weeks as they look to complete a league double over their local rivals.

United continued their excellent form with another league win on the weekend. Mo Missanga’s brace and Riley Dourish’s goal saw Oxford beat Cheltenham 3-1 on Saturday.

The three points made it six league wins on the bounce and extended an incredible run of only losing one league game since November.

Missanga registered his 10th and 11th goal for the Under-18s which, considering he’s been mostly involved with the Under-21s this season, is an incredible accomplishment and well-deserved.

Swindon haven’t exactly had the same fortune as of late, coming into tomorrow on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Pompey. They did however find a bit of form after the last time the sides met, winning their following three matches.

Thirteen places separate the sides on the league table with Oxford sitting in sixth and Swindon down in 19th ahead of tomorrow.

It’s been a successful derby for Oxford in recent times - three convincing wins for the Yellows has seen them score 14 unanswered goals in the last three meetings.

Tomorrow is a chance for Oxford to complete back-to-back league doubles over Swindon.

Kick off is at 2:00pm on Tuesday 14 April at the Training Centre.
