Oxford United Women take on the Hatters in the cup

Oxford United Women Celebration

Oxford United Women welcome Luton Town Women to the MGroup Stadium on Sunday (2:00pm kick off) for the final group stage game in the FAWNL Cup.

The winner of the game will qualify for the knock-out stages as both sides have won their two previous group games against Tottenham Hotspur PGA and Milton Keynes Dons. United have a better goal difference, so a draw should be enough for the U’s to qualify.

United will be hoping to recover from the disappointment of last weekend, when they lost 4-1 at Real Bedford in the National League. Oxford manager Sam Rose said the side got what they deserved after that performance, while captain Naomi Bedeau said the group would get together to find solutions and find a way to put the result right.

Luton currently sit in ninth place in the National League South East division following their 2-0 win over MK Dons last Sunday. However, they lost both their previous two league games 4-0, at home to Actonians and away to Norwich City.

Both teams will be looking for the win to take them into the next round as they look to get their seasons back on track.

Admission is £8 for adults (25 and older) or £4 for men’s season ticket holders, those in possession of a Blue Light card, over 65s, and those aged 18-24. Under-18s tickets cost £3, under-13s £2, and under-7s have free entry. Tickets are available at the turnstiles and from the official website HERE
