Oxford United Players Called Up for International Duty

Ciaron Brown

The November international break is here, and several Oxford United players will be travelling around the world to represent their nations.

Four Oxford United players will be taking part in the upcoming round of World Cup Qualifiers, having been called up by their respective nations.

Mark Harris will join the Wales squad, following on from starting his nation’s most recent match against Belgium. Mark has two crucial World Cup Qualifiers ahead, with Wales travelling to Liechtenstein on Saturday 15 November, before hosting North Macedonia in Cardiff three days later.

Filip Krastev will look to add to his 26 caps for Bulgaria, with fixtures this week against Türkiye and Georgia.

Back from injury, Ciaron Brown has been recalled into the Northern Ireland squad. Ciaron will be aiming to secure his nation a spot in the qualifying play-offs, and has an important match in Slovakia before facing Luxembourg in Belfast.

Greg Leigh has received a call-up into the Jamaica squad, with Steve McClaren’s side sitting atop of their World Cup Qualifying group. Greg can secure his nation a place in next year's tournament should they win their games against Trinidad and Tobago and Curaçao.

We wish all the United players the best of luck with their national sides.
