The 2025/26 Championship fixtures have been released, with Oxford United kicking off against Portsmouth at home on Saturday 9 August at 3:00pm.
United will open their Championship season at home for the second year running, following last year’s 2-0 opening day win over Norwich City, with ex-U’s captain John Mousinho bringing his team to the Kassam Stadium.
Our opening fixture at home is then followed by back-to-back away games against Hull City and newly promoted Birmingham City. Gary Rowett’s side then return to Oxford to face Coventry City and Leicester City, either side of the first international break of the season.
The festive period kicks off a trip to Charlton Athletic on Saturday 20 December, before returning to OX4 for a home fixture against Southampton on Boxing Day. That’s followed three days later with another home game against Swansea City, while on New Year’s Day we travel to face Ipswich Town.
The final four fixtures of the season will see United face Derby County at Pride Park on 18 April, followed by our final two home games against Wrexham on 21 April and Sheffield Wednesday on 25 April. The Championship campaign concludes with an away trip to Millwall on 2 May.
Please note that the fixtures are subject to change at this stage, with adjustments to follow for TV scheduling. Our opening game is confirmed as a 3:00pm kick-off, with all opening day Championship fixtures shown live on Sky Sports.
