Kasway Burton Signs First Professional Contract With Oxford United

Kasway Burton

Oxford United are delighted to announce Kasway Burton has signed his first professional contract with the Club.

The 18-year-old winger has been at the Club since Under-15 level and gained valuable first-team experience last season on loan at Beaconsfield Town FC and Stratford Town FC.

A quick and skilful forward, Kas is looking to progress further this year with Oxford United Academy’s new Under-21s team.

He said: “It’s a proud moment for me and my family. It’s what I’ve wished for.

“There’s been a lot of work behind the scenes and on the grass as well. People don’t really realise how much work you have to put into it”

“The coaches took me in and we’ve done a lot of individual work so there’s been a big improvement in my attributes. Now it’s about showing it on the pitch.”

Stevie Kinniburgh, Head of Football Development, said: “We are all delighted to see Kasway sign his first professional contract with the Club.

“Since arriving, Kasway has made real improvements in his game and is an important part of our Youth Academy. He showed at Under-18 level last season that he is ready to kick on and make the next step in his development.

“The Under-21 set up will give Kasway a great opportunity to continue to grow as a player and person, and hopefully with time move closer to the First Team environment.”
