Five Oxford United players will represent their country during the upcoming international break.

United's season will come to a close for two weekends, with a new and expanded international break running from September through to October.

Three players have been selected for the Northern Ireland squad, with Ciaron Brown, Brodie Spencer and Jamie McDonnell called-up after fine starts to the season.

They will play four games over two weeks in the Nations League, taking on Georgia home and away, Hungary at home and Ukraine away.

Mark Harris has also been called-up to the Wales team for their four Nations League games. They take on Portugal and Denmark away, before facing Norway and then Denmark again with both games at home.

Kai Andrews has also been selected for the Wales Under-21 side, as they take on Belgium and Austria in European Championship qualifiers.

The international selections means Oxford United's League One fixtures away at Doncaster Rovers and at home to Stockport County have both been rescheduled. Doncaster will now take place on Tuesday 15 December, while Stockport will now be played on Tuesday 27 October.

Good luck, boys.
