FAB Holds Latest Quarterly Meeting

Supporters

The Fan Advisory Board held our quarterly meeting on 15 January. The agenda centred on Tim Williams and Anthony Massey providing an overview of the Club’s financial performance for the last financial year, after which they answered a range of detailed questions.

Confidentiality precludes us from sharing specific figures until they are filed and published, but that confidentiality allows your FAB representatives to explore and debate fully with the Club much earlier than would otherwise be the case.

We discussed the impact of League rules around Profitability and Sustainability, which limit the losses Championship clubs can make over a rolling three-year cycle. We cannot overstate how much the current stadium situation impacts our Club’s ability to generate additional revenues and income compared to clubs who have control of their stadia all year round. Moving to our own stadium will allow us to be more competitive financially.

Oxford United Finance Director, Anthony Massey, said: “I would like to sincerely thank the FAB for their time and commitment. It was a valuable discussion where we had the opportunity to provide further details into the Club’s finances. This informed discussion demonstrates how effective two-way communication with supporters can strengthen the Club now and in the future.”
