Oxford United can confirm that both Craig and Chris Short have departed the Football Club.
Craig leaves after six years of service, having first joined as Assistant Head Coach in August 2020. In that time, Craig was a vital member of the team, providing calmness and continuity, working tirelessly alongside five permanent managers.
He also stepped up to lead the team, taking interim charge on three occasions. This included securing a vital win with a 3-2 victory away at Leyton Orient during the 2023/24 promotion winning campaign, as well as a memorable 2-1 win over Southampton last season.
Chris first joined in November 2018 as Head of Sports Science and, after a short spell away, returned in 2022 to continue his work with the Men's First Team. Chris was an important part of the backroom team, helping shape the physical condition and wellbeing of the squad through a hugely significant chapter for the Club.
Everyone at Oxford United would like to thank Craig and Chris for their years of dedication and professionalism. They depart with our sincerest gratitude and our very best wishes for whatever comes next.
