It was a good week for Aidan Elliott-Wheeler as the young U’s player continued his progress on loan.
Fresh from his first senior appearance in United’s EFL Trophy win at Northampton on Tuesday, Aidan scored and registered an assist for Banbury United as the Puritans beat Warrington 3-0 at home in the National League North on Saturday.
Elsewhere Goalkeeper Eddie Brearey continued his loan at St Ives Town but was on the losing side as visitors AFC Telford won 3-2, while defender George Franklin missed Bracknell Town’s 3-0 win over Tiverton after picking up an injury on his senior debut at Northampton.
