Oxford United hosted their annual Golf Day at Oxford Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon as players and staff joined teams with sponsors and supporters for a round of golf.
There was a great turnout from the Men’s First Team squad with Mark Harris, Jordan Thorniley, Stan Mills, Josh Murphy, Oisin Smyth, Max Woltman, and Ed McGinty joining sponsor teams at Oxford’s incredible course.
H.Tuckwell & Sons were crowned champions with a team including winger Mills, Stuart Lodge, James Lodge, and Tom Perry. Runners up were Knights Plc with a team consisting of Ben Denton, Paul Ranson, Sam Armstrong, and John Riddick. Third place were Darren Fuller, Chris Blaszco, James Greene, and Warrwick Cartey from club sponsor Planet Recruitment.
Our thanks go out to Steve Greenwood and his ground staff for ensuring the course was immaculate for our Golf Day. We’d like to also thank the Men’s First Team players for playing on their day off from a busy training schedule, and former U’s player Pete Foley for his support throughout the afternoon.
