Oxford United can confirm the departure of defender Erion Zabeli who has joined Brentford for an undisclosed fee.

Centre-half Erion has just completed a two-year scholarship with the U’s, during which he became part of the Kosovan under 21 side.

Head of Academy Stevie Kinniburgh said

“Erion was part of our run to the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup and it was a pleasure to see him develop and grow as a footballer during his two years with us. We thank him for his hard work and wish him well at Brentford.”
