U18s Chance to Make History at The Kassam

Young U’s could go furthest in FA Youth Cup since Club records began

5 January 2023

Oxford United U18s have a chance to make history on Tuesday, as they welcome Cardiff City to the Kassam Stadium in the Fourth Round of the FA Youth Cup.

Since Club records began, the U’s haven’t made it to the Fifth Round, and so if the young U’s can beat championship side Cardiff City under the lights, they could write themselves into Oxford United history.

Kick off is at 7:45 PM at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday, the 10th of January. Tickets are £6 for Adults and £3 for Under 18’s and Over 65’s and can be bought HERE

The closest the U18s have come to the Fifth Round was in 2013, where they were also drawn at home against Cardiff City but lost 3-2. United’s goals both came from Josh Ashby converting from the penalty spot, with James Roberts hitting the bar in the last minute. They also lost to Preston North End in the Fourth Round in the 2019/20 season.

Come along and support the U18s to help them make a big step into the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup.
