Fans can now contribute to a Trust Fund that has been set up for the family of Joey Beauchamp.
Joey’s death was marked by an emotional tribute game when we welcomed Cambridge United to the Kassam Stadium, but as well as being one of the club’s greatest ever players, Joey was first and foremost the proud father of daughters Jessie and Bella.
Both the club and his family are raising money in Joey's memory to place into trust to support the future and well-being of his girls, leaving a true legacy for future years.
Joey's funeral service will be held at St Mary's Church, Kidlington on Thursday 24th March at 12.00pm, followed by a private committal. The cortege will travel via Mill Street and The Moors, Kidlington for all those wishing to say their farewell but who do not wish to attend the service.
We do expect this service to be of large attendance and the family therefore request that respect is shown to the family and close friends of Joey and the capacity of the church.
Provisions will be in place for all those unable to get a seat on the day to watch the service from the overflow areas and outside.
