Prog Rocks

Subscribe now as new programme takes shape...

12 July 2022

The new season is fast approaching and that means the first edition of the Oxford United Matchday Programme is almost here.

The multi-award winning programme has a reputation for innovation - no other club has produced home AND away versions and the club remains committed to producing a programme at a time when some clubs are phasing them out.

On Saturday, when the U’s welcome Coventry City, the programme will have a different look- a fold out poster on one side with the season’s fixtures, and on Tuesday night when we take on West Brom there will be another poster to go alongside it.

Then, when the season kicks off we have a new idea which we believe will attract a younger generation of programme collectors…

Each league programme will feature an extra fold-out, perforated page which features four collectable Player Cards. Featuring stats and data on United’s greatest ever players; over the season they build into a 92 card deck for you to play and swap.

Communications Manager Chris Williams told himself:

“We have done a fair amount of research and while other clubs are scaling back the programme we decided to increase ours by 16 pages - the biggest for years - and to add posters, a dedicated section for Juniors and the player cards. There will still be all the regular features that fans love about the programme, and we listened to feedback and will include more info on the opposition.

“The programme is a labour of love and I think fans recognise that. Luckily our sales are still strong enough to sustain a full sized programme, but with paper costs and delivery all rising we simply can’t keep it at £3 this season- it has been that price for 14 years.

“We still think the programme is great value and we are offering a chance for fans to subscribe at last year’s prices. All we have to do now is start writing them!”

You can ensure that you don’t miss out on any edition by taking out a subscription, guaranteeing that the programme will arrive through your letterbox on Saturday morning before the game (postal services permitting).

The programme will be £4 per issue on matchday but for those that choose to subscribe, we are keeping the programme at last season’s price of just £3 per copy, which works out at £75 for the season for all league and cup programmes if you collect on matchday or £125 for postal subscribers

Just fill out the form here: programme subscriptions 22_23 letter.pdf or email mbrodetsky@oufc.co.uk

Programmes will be available from the club shop, the stalls outside the South Stand and in the concourses.

Subscribe before 3pm on Friday and we will include the two home pre-season programmes for FREE
