Oxford United Women are pleased to welcome another new signing with Leah Burridge joining the U’s for the new season.
Leah is an experienced midfielder who was with Wolves last season after joining from Bridgwater where she was captain of the side.
Manager Liam Gilbert said
““Leah has played against us many times and you always know you are going to have to work exceptionally hard in the centre of the park if you want to get the better of her. Like Naomi Cole, who signed yesterday, she is a natural leader and we are excited to have her involved here.”
Leah told us
“Oxford as a club are moving in the right direction and as a team they play good football. I am ambitious, just like all of the players and staff here. It has been good to get to know people and now I can’t wait to get started.”
Leah will be involved on Sunday when the U’s kick off their pre-season games with a double header, behind closed doors, against Selsey and Stoke.
