The U’s travel to Bristol on Saturday to face Joey Barton’s Rovers side at the Memorial Ground with the game kicking off at 12:30pm.
Kyle Joseph stands by for his debut and Karl Robinson believes the young forward will bring something different to United's attcking options.
“Kyle is completely different to Matty (Taylor), who is a 'fox in the box' and great when we’ve got teams pinned back" Karl said. "But when the pitch is a bit open and we’re looking to be a bit exposed, Kyle will give us that power and athleticism up top.”
Saturday will see Karl come up against Joey Barton, with the pair going back a long way.
“He’s someone that I’ve known for years" he said. "Obviously he’s really happy that they managed to go up the way they did, last game of the season. He’s someone that will try and build a team to suit his personality so we just know that we’re going to be in for a difficult game.
"But we have had two good results this week and we will gothere in really good shape."
