Oxford United are excited to welcome RJS Waste Management as Match Sponsor for our Sky Bet League One encounter with promotion-chasing Sunderland this Saturday, 3pm Kick-Off.

With regional UK offices, including one in Oxford, RJS offers complete nationwide services. These include hazardous waste disposal; asbestos surveys and asbestos removal; site clearances, soft-strip works, and demolitions.

Drawing on over 60 years of experience, the local waste management firm provides cost-effective advice and support for businesses of all sizes and sectors as well as some domestic clients. Since 2012, they have completed 1000s of projects of varying scale and difficulty and the company continues to grow.

Managing Director at RJS, Russell Shrives spoke to us on the upcoming sponsorship and history with Oxford United. "We at RJS Waste Management are passionate about supporting our local communities. In Oxfordshire, we sponsor Oxford City Stars and Oxford Midnight Stars as well as Oxford United.

"We stepped up our local sports sponsorship commitments when live games were locked down as it was one way to give back to the clubs, that have given us so much over the years, at a time when they were negotiating challenging times.

"This season, we've also gifted two free tickets for every home game at the Kassam to Oxfordshire Mind. The local mental health charity has passed the tickets onto their service users. We've given a handful of footie fans a real boost and had some fantastic feedback from those who've attended the games and experienced a 'new lease of life'.

"Sponsorship of the Sunderland game, and continued sponsorship of the club this season, is a great way to connect with people in our local area while supporting our local teams. It's a win-win – let's hope it is on the day.

"I've always supported Oxford as my hometown club. At the age of seven, I remember going to the 1986 Milk Cup Final between Oxford United and Queens Park Rangers at Wembley and it was incredible. The atmosphere ignited my passion for football and seeing the community get behind the team created some fond memories."

"I'm looking forward to the game – and see what the Oxford United boys bring home this season. It's been another hard year for everyone and it's great to have something positive and exciting to focus on while supporting the local community.

"We're bringing along some RJS Waste Management clients to watch the game, a thank you for their continued support. It will be great to connect with everyone face-to-face again over a shared passion and enjoy the game.

"We work with everyone from property developers to property managers as well as homeowners who need everything from asbestos surveys to bat guano removal. So, if any Oxford United fans have not used our services before, we'd love for you to get in touch. It's great to meet new people and build new relationships".
