PREVIEW Rotherham United v Oxford United

Full match preview as the U's travel to the Millers

22 April 2022

Oxford United head for Rotherham United on Saturday in the penultimate game of the league season.

TEAM NEWS
United welcomed back Marcus Browne on Tuesday for the vital win over MK Dons and the winger is part of the squad that travelled north today ahead of tomorrow's game.

Striker Sam Baldock is due to return to the training pitches on Monday but United are still without James Henry, Alex Gorrin and Jamie Hanson.

THE OPPOSITION
The Millers suffered a 2-0 loss to Burton Albion last time out and boss Paul Warne has said that his side need ‘two wins’ to secure automatic promotion. The Millers are level on points with MK Dons but with a game in hand over the Dons.

The game in hand is next Tuesday away at Sunderland before they end the season with the long trip to Gillingham next Saturday

“It’s still in our hands. Another game is down I suppose” Warne said after defeat at the Pirelli Stadium.

“Everyone is desperate to get those last couple of wins. It’s difficult but two wins might do it for us but it feels it will go down to the wire. We have to keep believing.”
