MATCH PREVIEW Plymouth Argyle v Oxford United

A full guide to Saturday's Sky Bet League 1 game at Home Park

1 April 2022

TEAM NEWS
United welcome back skipper Elliott Moore and the influential James Henry after injury. The pair have trained all week and are included in the squad alongside Mark Sykes, Gavin Whyte and Ciaron Brown after their international call ups last week.

More good news has seen Marcus Browne out on the training pitches again with Sam Baldock not too far behind and both are hoping to play again before the end of the season. Alex Gorrin and Jamie Hanson continue their rehab work and are doing well but unlikely to feature in the remaining matches.

THE OPPOSITION
Defender James Bolton and left wing-back Conor Grant are injury doubts for Argyle- the former with an ankle injury and Grant with a groin problem.

"Everybody else can get excited. We've just got to try and stay focused," boss Steven Schumacher said as his fourth placed team prepare for the visit of the fifth placed U’s.

"There's still a long way to go. We've got six games left. We've got a points tally that normally would see you into the play-offs, but this year is a bit unique, the top half of the table is so strong.

"The excitement is building around the city. People are desperate to come and watch us play, which is brilliant - and we want to put on a good performance for everyone who's coming out to watch.”
