Paint the Kassam Yellow

Get behind the U's as we take on Blackpool

17 May 2021

It’s been a long time in the making, but after five months the Kassam Stadium turnstiles will revolve once more with the return of the Yellow Army to OX4.

A pulsating end to the campaign has seen Karl Robinson’s side secure that all important play-off spot, and with our loyal and vocal Season Ticket holders in attendance on Tuesday evening, anything is possible.

Head Coach Karl Robinson said

“The lads have given their all towards the end of the season to put us in this position, and their reward is a match back in front of those supporters who have been cheering us on from afar for way too long.”

“As a team we will be doing everything in our power to reward the loyalty of our supporters, but in return we need to see and hear a wall of yellow right from when you get to the ground. The lads know how important this is to the people of the city, and together we can achieve our aims.”

So with that, you can consider this your rallying cry from both the Gaffer and everyone else connected with the club.

We are calling on each and every supporter in attendance to bring your singing voices and paint the Kassam yellow for Tuesday’s game.

Whether it is your lucky shirt, a horned hat from 1986, or a celebration scarf from 2010, we want to see you all embracing the famous yellow to show the lads exactly who has their back throughout the 90 minutes.

We saw earlier in the season just how much of an impact you can all have. Whether it was a spirited draw against Championship bound Hull City or a pulsating four goal second half blitz of Northampton Town, you came, you sang, and the lads responded.

The stakes are higher, and the importance is greater this time, but a truly United Oxford can achieve just about anything when we push towards a single cause.

The Club Shop at Grenoble Road will be open until 5pm on Monday, and right the way up to kick off at 6pm on Tuesday. So if you’re struggling for some yellow inspiration, don’t miss out on this final home matchday to get your hands on official 2020/21 kit.
