Sports Park Gym Receives Perform Better Upgrade

U’s first team enjoy new world class equipment

5 March 2021

Oxford United are delighted to be working alongside Perform Better, a company who specialise in strength and conditioning equipment to elite sporting organisations across the UK.

In 2018, Perform Better were selected by the club to refurbish the strength and conditions facility at the Oxford Sports Park, with three half racks, a leg press, Keiser bikes, Wattbikes, and treadmills added to the dedicated space.

In late 2020 the club further invested in its facilities with the addition of ten more Keiser bikes, a Keiser Squat, and a selection of brand-new dumbbells and kettlebells.

What’s more, the Perform Better branding has been added to the interior walls of the facility to further enhance the fantastic working relationship between both organisations.

The U’s Head of Sports, Chris Short, has enjoyed a long positive relationship with the Perform Better team, and was delighted to welcome their first class equipment and service to the club’s training base:

“Perform Better have consistently delivered outstanding products with a first class service. The after care sales and customer service continues to be excellent. I am lucky to have a great working relationship with Perform Better and feel confident they’ll always provide an excellent product.”

Perform Better Marketing Manager, Georgina Evans-Goodrich said, "Perform Better are proud to have partnered with Oxford United to develop their Strength and Conditioning facility at the Training Ground.

"We supplied all the equipment when the club set up the facility in 2018 and hopefully our expertise in equipping facilities in a lot of clubs in the Premier League, Championship and Leagues 1 and 2 in addition to the National Football Centres in England and Scotland will help the club develop their facility moving forward.

"Perform Better’s headquarters are based near Banbury only 45 minutes from Oxford and we have worked with a number of club staff members in previous positions. We look forward to develop the relationship moving forward.”

We would like to thank Perform Better once again for their exemplary service, and we look forward to continuing our fine working relationship for years to come.
