The Oxford United Academy reports back next week for the new season and there are a number of friendlies planned for the scholars as they prepare for a new-look season.
In previous years the youth team have competed in an under 18s league, the EFL Youth Alliance. For 2021/22 the competition has been realigned and the U’s will now run an under 19s team and an under 17s squad, giving the best local players a chance to test themselves against teams in their age groups.
The two squads will continue to train together but will have separate matches, starting in pre-season with the following games in July:
