Oxford United Women are delighted to announce the signing of former Charlton midfielder Beth Lumsden.
Having recently played against The U’s in last season’s Women’s FA Cup, the midfielder spoke of her enthusiasm to be wearing yellow at Court Place Farm this time around.
“Since I’ve been at the club everyone has made me feel welcome. I had a couple of chats with Liam [Gilbert] after last season had finished and I felt like it’s the right move for me.
“Liam took me through the club’s plans for the next couple of years, looking to get promoted this year. It’s an exciting time for the club and it’sexciting to be part of it.
“All of the girls are really nice, and there’s a lot of girls who are way more experienced than I am so if anything, I’m only going to learn from them throughout the season. Hopefully we can get some good results and end up at the top of the table.
“I’d like to say that my best attribute would be dribbling forwards; I like taking shots on goal so hopefully I’ll get a couple of goals this season and push on.”
