Oxford United Women are delighted to reveal the signing of former Cheltenham Town forward Jade Grove.
Jade joins fellow summer signing Sarah King from Cheltenham this week, with the strong striker arriving at the club ahead of the first fixture of pre-season against Wolves this weekend.
“I can’t wait to get the season going; I’m really enjoying pre-season as this club has such a good environment to be around,” Jade said.
“Surrounding myself with this set of players and coaching staff will only make me a better player.
“Once I came to a training session during pre-season, I saw that everyone is so driven and wants to do the best for themselves and the team. Knowing and seeing all of that didn’t make the decision too hard and I know that it’s the right thing to do.
“I’m excited to challenge myself by playing in a higher league with Oxford and as a player I like to receive the ball to my feet, using my strength to hold the ball up.
“I want to push myself and help the team push themselves too, so after speaking to Liam [Gilbert] I’m very excited to join and be part of the team.”
