Oxford United’s Under 18s start their EFL Youth Alliance season with the long trip to play Plymouth Argyle away on Friday.
The young U’s look to defend their South West Division league title - something no former U’s youngsters have done - and have a fully fit squad available as they head for Plymouth for a midday kick off.
Ben Watt, Tyler Goodrham and Josh Johnson were all on duty with the First Team on Wednesday evening but could return to the Academy set up while defender James Golding is available again after attending a Republic of Ireland training camp last weekend.
It’s a busy week for the Academy who have an Under 21 game at Thame on Wednesday against Huddersfield in the Premier League Cup before the 18s enter the League Cup with a game away at Sutton United next Friday.
