Oxford United's young defender Rob Atkinson has been recalled from his loan at Eastleigh FC
The centre-half joined the U’s on a permanent deal in January but returned to The Spitfires on loan for the remainder of the season. However after an injury to experienced club captain John Mousinho, United have chosen to recall the centre-back as Head Coach Karl Robinson explained
"Rob has done well in training and we have watched him for Eastleigh too. As well as Mous being injured we have Rob Dickie just one yellow card away from a suspension. Elliott Moore's partner is also expecting their first baby in the next couple of weeks so it makes perfect sense to have Rob here and for him to be in and around the squad."
Rob will be available for selection for he U’s home match against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday.
