PREVIEW: Oxford United Women Face Chichester City

United Women set to kick off league season at home

4 September 2019

Oxford United Women host Chichester City at home on Sunday in the FA Women’s National League (2pm)

After an unbeaten pre-season the U’s Women began their competitive fixtures losing late on to Crawley Wasps in the FAWNL Cup but will be looking to return to winning ways as they face Chichester City on Sunday.

Game information
It’s United’s first league game of the season so come on down to support the girls. The fixture will be played at Court Place Farm (OX3 0NQ). Kick-off is at 2pm.

There is also plenty of food and drink available at Court Place Farm and a great chance to bring the family down for an afternoon of football.

Team News

Three players are set to return to the side after missing out in the U’s FAWNL Cup fixture. Daisy McLachlan and Cheryl Williams are expected to be in the squad, whilst it could be a first involvement for last season’s league top scorer Emily Allen who returned to the U’s last week for the season.

Emily scored 17 goals for the U’s last season and it could be your first chance to see the popular striker back in yellow after she spent the summer playing Champions League football for Cardiff Metropolitan Ladies.
