Bid Now: Rob Hall Signed Boots

U's forward auctions boots for a great cause

9 September 2019

Oxford United forward Rob Hall is donating a pair of signed Nike Hypervenom boots (size 7.5) to raise money for Mia Fryett and Helen and Douglas House Hospice

Oxford based charity Helen and Douglas House do amazing work with youngsters and their families and couple of months ago, Rob went along to Helen and Douglas House to help BBC Oxford on their Hospice Day. He was interviewed by brothers Ethan and Harvey Fryett who are big Oxford United fans and have been visiting Helen House for many years with their younger sister Mia who has benefited hugely from the support and help that staff at Helen and Douglas House have provided.

After being so impressed by both the work the hospice and it's fantastic staff do as well as the Fryett family and how they support Mia, Rob wanted to help raise money for them.

He has specially donated these boots to auction off for charity and we hope Oxford Fans will be able to bid generously to win a fantastic piece of OUFC memorabilia whilst helping a fantastic local cause at the same time.

Rob told us "They are an inspiring family and it has been my pleasure to get to know them since we met at Helen and Douglas House. I hope the fans help us out a little bit and there are a few bids. But also it's great just to raise a little bit of awareness about Helen and Douglas House who do such fantastic work."

Unfortunately due to restrictions on charity donation listings our auction on a well known online auction site was taken down and so we have had to have a rethink. The boots were going for £220 at the time the auction was removed. If you would like to bid more then email, in confidence, cwilliams@oufc.co.uk with your bid.

We will keep the highest bidder informed until the auction ends at MIDDAY ON TUESDAY

We are also grateful to Cameron Brannagan who has kindly donated a pair of his boots for Helen and Douglas House, and the fans who met the players in the Club Shop last week and bought a new away kit which they got signed and then also offered for the same cause.

We will take Rob and Cameron to Helen and Douglas House soon to hand over the new prizes for them to auction or raffle as they see best.
