Coaching Opportunities in Community Team and with Girls RTC

Great chances to join the coaching team at Oxford United

3 September 2019

There are currently some very exciting opportunities for coaches in Oxfordshire to get involved with Oxford United in the Community and with the Girls RTC

Community Coaches

Oxford United in the Community are seeking qualified football coaches to work for the charity

United’s charity is currently recruiting FA Level 1 or above accredited football coaches to join the community team.

Paid part-time community coach roles are available for the right candidates to work across various sessions with children aged between 2 and 16.

This is a great opportunity to work for United’s charity, develop your skills and help us continue to help others.

Ross Layton, School Sports Manager at Oxford United in the Community, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for qualified coaches to work with Oxford United in the Community to help make a difference to youngsters across the county.

“We deliver football programmes in a fun, safe and positive environment and use coaching methods to ensure every participant is treated as an individual to help them reach their potential. We are seeking qualified and ambitious coaches who are motivated by helping to make a difference via football and to developing their coaching careers.”

If you would like to discuss the roles further, please contact: community@oufc.co.uk

Oxford United the Community’s strategic aims include increasing participation in sport and physical activity, improving mental well-being and engaging with isolated groups. Its coaching staff deliver programmes in nursery and primary schools across Oxfordshire.

They are qualified not only in football coaching, but in teaching interventions including Real PE, which focuses on the development of agility, balance and coordination, healthy competition and cooperative learning. The charity also delivers the popular Manor Club to the over 50’s to help tackle isolation in the older community.

The charity is currently celebrating its 30-year anniversary and recently appointed club legends James Constable and Les Robinson as Patrons. As part of the anniversary celebrations the charity launched a Dream Big Appeal to raise £30,000 in its 30th year to help it do more impactful work across Oxfordshire.
