Oxford United are delighted to announce that we will be playing a pre-season friendly against Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox.

The prestigious pre-season game takes place against Steven Gerrard’s side on Sunday 7th July, kick off at 3pm, and tickets are just £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s and over 65s. Wheelchair users are £7 for Adults and £3 for under 18s/over 65s with carers free.

It should be a fantastic curtain raiser for the new season; over 44,000 people saw the Gers welcome Bury last summer.

Karl Robinson told us:

“What a fantastic way to start pre-season. Rangers are a massive club and Steven is doing an unbelievable job up there so when the opportunity came to go and test ourselves against such opposition we jumped at the chance. I would imagine it’s a game that will excite the Oxford fans and I am sure it will be a great occasion as well as a decent game.”

We expect demand for tickets in the away area to be very high for this game and the U’s have initially been allocated 988 reserved seat tickets including seven spaces for wheelchairs and their PA.

It is unlikely there would be cash admission for Oxford fans on the day and we strongly advise those wishing to attend to purchase at the earliest opportunity. There is however a possibility for more tickets to be made available subject to demand but that initial allocation is sure to sell quickly.

Tickets are on sale online from 5pm Friday 7th June to season ticket holders.

They will then go on General Sale online at 4:30pm on Thursday 13th June and be available in person and over the phone in the Ticket Office from 9:30 Friday 14th of June.

The London Road Club is currently looking at running coach travel to and from the game if there is sufficient interest. Departing the Stadium at 5.30am and picking up at Kidlington at 5.45am it is estimated the return time would be 1.00 – 1.30am on the Monday morning.  Prices would be as below:

• Adult LRC member* £60
• Adult non-member £65
• Under 18 member* £55
• Under 18 non-member £60

 *2018/19 season London Road Club members and those who have joined/re-joined on or before 31st May 2019.
