Oxford United and BBC Oxford To Continue Partnership

BBC Oxford agree new three-year deal with the U's

11 June 2019

Oxford United and BBC Oxford are pleased to announce a new three-year partnership which will see BBC Oxford continue as official broadcast partners for the U’s.

BBC Oxford brings unrivalled coverage of Oxford United with the familiar voices of Jerome Sale, Nick Harris, Nathan Cooper and Peter Rhoades-Brown providing commentary home and away.

Oxford United Communications Manager Chris Williams said:

“We are very fortunate to have such a strong relationship with BBC Oxford. The commentary is excellent but there is so much more to the partnership than that: the Five Minute Fans Forums were a great innovation last season and we work with them on everything from iFollow to daily news and interviews.

“Any successful football club needs the support of its local radio station and I know that the fans will be really pleased to know that the partnership will not just continue but hopefully continue to grow.”

Jerome Sale of BBC Oxford said: “Everyone knows what a close knit community the Oxford United family is and the important thing for us is bringing everyone together - whether you’re turning on the radio in the car after a game, listening at work or somewhere around the world on iFollow.”
