Oxford United Women are pleased to announce the signings of Daisy McLachlan and Ellie Kirby
United women have strengthened the squad ahead of the new season with two new faces joining the team as pre-season preparations continue.
Daisy McLachlan, a forward who previously played for Portsmouth but was most recently at London Bees last season, joins up with Liam Gilbert’s side for the 2019/20 campaign.
She told us:
“I’m excited for the new season. Oxford United are a great team and club that I want to be a part of and show my best abilities and ambition for success.”
Meanwhile fullback Ellie Kirby also joins the U’s having played for Portsmouth last season. The pair joining United were teammates previously on the south coast.
Ellie told us:
“I’m over the moon to have signed for Oxford. This is such an ambitious club, the staff and players have such high expectations for themselves and each other. I believe we can achieve amazing things this season and I can’t wait to get started.”
Oxford United Women also retained two players this week, with Paris Sercombe and Evie Gane both signing on for another season with the U’s.
The women’s side are in action this Sunday against Wolverhampton Women. The match is being played at Whitelands Farm (2pm KO). Entry to the match is FREE
