There are three opportunities to see the U’s much closer to home this week.
Karl Robinson’s side have three short journeys in a row: Oxford City on Tuesday evening, Thame United on Wednesday and Brackley Town on Thursday.
Rob Hall and Mark Sykes will sit out the game at Court Place Farm on Tuesday as a precaution after knee injuries while Jamie Mackie should be in contention by the time the U's play at Brackley on Thursday.
"Hally won't be risked so soon after playing at Rangers and Sykesy had a slight knee problem last week so we won't ask him to play on the 3G surface at City- it's a good surface but why risk things; especially with the other two games as well. Jamie just jarred his back attempting a backheel in training but it shouldn't be too long before he plays. We will give everyone 45 minutes in the first game, then 60/30 and the reverse of that in the other two.
"That should give Oxford fans a good chance to come along and see everyone in action."
