21 January 2019

It’s a case of one in one out for Oxford United with one player returning to the U’s and one heading home to his parent club.

Ricky Holmes has returned to Sheffield United after being on loan with the U’s for the first half of the season.

The forward has been troubled by a back problem and been unavailable for a the last few weeks but will return to the Blades for treatment and United will monitor his progress with the possibility of the loan being resumed later in the season.

Meanwhile winger Malachi Napa has come back to United after a loan at Macclesfield Town. The popular young forward stayed on for a couple of weeks hoping to impress new Silkmen boss Sol Campbell but has been unable to train due to a chest infection and so will return to United and receive treatment before he can resume full training here.
