Future Talent Hubs Are Back

A great way for young footballers to get involved

7 January 2019

Oxford United in the Community’s Future Talent Hubs are back, offering starter-level technical coaching to girls and boys of any ability from ages 4 to 12.

Future Talent provides a fun, player-centred environment in which young people will be encouraged to be creative and inventive in their football development. The programme offers a way to improve technical skills for those new to football, as well as to members of competitive grassroots or school teams.

Delivered by Oxford United’s charity the weekly sessions focus on improving the ability of each player in areas such as ball mastery, passing, dribbling, turning and shooting. The key principles of attacking, defending and reading the game are developed through 1v1, 2v2 and small-sided games.

The sessions are one hour in length and are run by Oxford United in the Community’s fully qualified and experienced coaching staff.

Every child will receive a progress report after completing the 12-week programme, and players progressing well may be given the opportunity to trial for the Emerging Talent programme.
