PREVIEW Oxford United v Lincoln City

Be part of Oxford's biggest Christmas Party today

24 December 2019

Oxford United welcome Lincoln City to the Kassam Stadium today with another bumper Bank Holiday crowd making it THE place to be in Oxford this Christmas

Only single seats remain for this game in the South Stand Upper and with other areas selling quickly additional North Stand seats have been opened up for home fans.

Tickets are available on the day, subject to availability so come along and join us.

United have no new injuries after the 1-0 win against leaders Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday. Boss Karl Robinson is unlikely to make too many changes to the winning side but told iFollow:

"It will be about rotation over the next few games but maybe more between Boxing Day and 29th. But we have a squad designed to cope with that situation and I have every faith in all of my players."

Rob Dickie stands by to face his former club. See Rob and Karl previewing the game in iFollow.

Lincoln boss Michael Appleton returns to the U's but insists there is no room for sentiment at the club he guided to promotion to League 1.

“Honestly, it’s business as usual,” he said. “I had a fantastic time there, three really good years and we were successful. But I’m not one for looking back. I’m not a sentimental person. I’m Lincoln City manager now and I need to try and focus on what we do rather than Oxford United.
“They’re clearly a very good side who haven’t lost in the league for a long time. They’re going to be difficult to beat and I have to make sure our players are fully prepared for that. My focus is on what we do and how we do it.
“I’m sure I’ll share a drink after the game with a few of the [Oxford] staff. But, ultimately, I’m going there to try and make it as difficult as possible for them.”
